The World of Colostle
Welcome to the Roomlands. This series of impossibly large rooms are the backdrop to this epic tale of loss, of trial, and of adventure. Existing within the seemingly infinite halls of the Colostle, these rooms are host to oceans, mountains, mind boggling libraries, and much that is simply not known yet. The brave, the curious, and the stupid venture out from their towns and villages seeking the fabled Walls, the very edges of the world, or the Battlements, the parts of the Colostle above the very skies themselves.
The world is not without danger, though. Not all faces are friendly, and myriad strange creatures wander the continent-sized rooms. Above all, literally and figuratively, stand the Rooks, autonomous castles in their own right, powered by arcane technologies and able to lay low any adventurer foolhardy enough to take them lightly.
Across the Midroom Sea is the journal of my own Colostle playthrough, journaled on pen and paper, then written into a more entertaining format to be presented here. It tells the story of Thorn, a young girl from the back end of nowhere, searching desperately for her strange little friend, the rookling she calls Talon. As she traverses mountain caverns, open plains, and the roiling ocean, how will she survive in a world that is so much bigger than she is?
